Nevada Partners, Inc. is a community-based, nonprofit agency in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Our mission is to build a healthy, sustainable community where all residents achieve their full potential through effective education, meaningful employment, safe and affordable housing, and vibrant civic and cultural engagement. By collaborating with private employers, community and faith-based groups, and public agencies, we are able to connect youth, adults, and dislocated workers with the support they need to thrive.
History of NPI
Nevada Partners was established in 1992 to provide education, employment, and training services to youth, adults, and dislocated workers and has expanded its programming to include diversion programming, specialized pre-apprenticeship training for ex-offenders, reentry programming for certified youth, and sector-focused workforce development programming for adults. Throughout its history, NPI has administered over $20 million in training and employment services to southern Nevada’s most vulnerable youth populations; e.g. adjudicated youth, homeless youth, pregnant and parenting teens, youth aging out of foster care, and out of school youth, while meeting or exceeding WIA performance measures.
We offer the following programs:
Workforce Development: Nevada Partners helps individuals obtain training and jobs that allow them to become economically self-sufficient, use their talents/skills, and advance in their careers. We also help employers find competent and qualified workers. Best of all, there is no fee to employers, trainers, or employee candidates.
Positive Youth Impact: Nevada Partners aims to build a community network that supports all local youth who are at risk or out of school. We provide options for making healthy choices, succeeding in school, reconnecting to education and work/career paths that lead to lifelong success.
Housing Partnerships: Through two programs— Neighborhood Stabilization Program and Homebuyers Assistance Program along with the Culinary and Bartenders Housing Partnership, Nevada Partners offers homebuyer education, one-on-one counseling and down payment assistance.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA): Nevada Partners provides free tax return preparation and e-filing, delivered by IRS-certified volunteers. We aimed at increasing the number of eligible Clark County residents claiming and receiving the federal Earned Income Tax Credit.
